SALISBURY, Md.- A Princess Anne, Md. couple kicked off the New Year with the birth of a baby baby.
Luke Lawson Lynch was the first baby born at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury this year. The 8-pound boy arrived shortly after midnight.
The baby's parents, Shannon and Bill Lynch, said they were surprised and joked that Luke missed the 2007 tax deadline.
"We thought that we just missed the tax write-off. But he came when he was ready to come," said Shannon.
Baby Luke will have plenty of company at home. His parents have five other children. They say Luke is their last baby.
